Tsavo East National Park is one of the best parks in Kenya, and it’s unlike anywhere else in East Africa. It has a reputation for big herds of elephants (often caked in the red Tsavo dust), big cats (including maneless male lions), and wild backcountry that’s fun to explore away from the crowds. Because of its proximity to the Kenyan coast, Tsavo East is a convenient park if you’re looking to combine a wildlife safari with some time spent at the beach. And it has excellent accommodation while you’re here. But it’s still a fantastic place to visit no matter how little time you have.

Day 1 Coastal Beach to Tsavo East National Park

You will be picked up from your coastal hotel at Mombasa, Diani Beach, Malindi or Watamu early in the morning and the journey continues via Mombasa in the direction of Nairobi to the park entrance gate. Our Tsavo East Jeep Safaris adventure starts here.
The first game drive gives you a real safari feeling seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, etc.

You will check in at your lodge/camp. This is where you will have lunch, set up yourself, and spend your midday rest during the hottest time of the day. You will have a spectacular view of the waterhole, which, due to the climate, is often the water reservoir and thus an attraction for thirsty wild animals.

After tea time, you will have a second extended game drive through the national park in search of the animal inhabitants of the so-called “Theater of the Wild”.

Until the onset of dusk, you will explore the beauty of nature and its wildlife.
Filled with exciting impressions, you can end the evening with dinner in your classic lodge.

Dinner And Overnight stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge

Day 2 Tsavo East National Park to Coastal Beach

On this great day, you will get an early cup of coffee/tea, the early morning stalk starts at daybreak, the best time of the day to see the big cats!

Then there is a rich breakfast. You will pack your luggage and check out. You will roam the park again in search of wild animals, then it’s time to say goodbye to nature. Until lunch, you will make a short stop at Kilimanjaro Restaurant for a short call and lunch.

When you are done with lunch the tour takes you back to your hotel/cottage and in the late afternoon, your driver will say goodbye to you.

Kwaheri! Goodbye, next time!
