About This Lodge

Naboisho Camp combines a high level of comfort with a deep respect for the surrounding wilderness. The camp stands as a sophisticated base for exploring the exclusive Mara Naboisho Conservancy, offering a balance between polished living and wild adventure. Its identity is rooted in the success of the community-owned conservancy model, providing guests with a sense of purpose alongside their stay.
The atmosphere is open and airy, designed to let the light and views of the plains flow through every space. It promises a serene and exclusive experience, ideal for travellers who seek both the thrill of big game encounters and the pleasure of a refined, private retreat.

Location & Setting

The camp overlooks a sweeping valley within the conservancy, positioned to maximise views of the open plains and the wildlife that crosses them. It lies in a private sector of the ecosystem, ensuring that game drives and sightings are shared with few others.

Access is easy via the nearby airstrip, followed by a game drive transfer that immediately immerses guests in the landscape. The setting feels expansive, with the horizon stretching out from the main deck, grounding guests in the vastness of the Mara.

Accommodation

Nine spacious suites define the accommodation, featuring a unique design that blends traditional thatch roofs with modern glass doors. The structures sit on raised stone plinths, offering a solid yet open feel. Inside, the rooms are light-filled, with polished floors and elegant furnishings.

Each suite includes a bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, allowing guests to bathe under the sky. A broad veranda provides a private lounge space, perfect for relaxing and watching the herds of wildebeest and zebra that often graze nearby in the quiet afternoon light.

Facilities & Experiences

A sleek infinity pool sits at the edge of the main deck, offering a place to cool off while watching animals. The central lounge features a stone fireplace, creating a cosy focal point for cooler evenings. Dining is often enjoyed outdoors on the deck or in the open-sided mess area, where the food is fresh and the service attentive.

The camp maintains a relaxed but professional vibe, ensuring that every need is met without feeling stiff. It is a place to unwind completely between adventures.

Our Sustainability & Community Impact

The camp actively mentors local children through the Twende Porini programme, which teaches them about the value of wildlife conservation. It also supports the Maa Trust, an organisation that empowers local women through beadwork and honey production enterprises. These initiatives ensure that the benefits of tourism are felt directly by the households surrounding the conservancy.
