Bush Breakfast & Bush Dinner

The experience

A bush breakfast moves the first meal of the day out of camp and into the landscape, usually after an early game drive. A bush dinner does the same in reverse, with a table set under the trees or in a dry riverbed.

Several camps in our collection offer one or both, sometimes as a standard part of a longer stay and sometimes as a special arrangement. It is one of the simplest ways to make a particular morning or evening memorable.

Because these meals depend on location, staffing and conditions, they are requested and confirmed with the camp rather than assumed from a brochure.

What to expect on a Bush Breakfast & Bush Dinner

What to expect

Your camp chooses a safe, suitable site and sets up ahead of your arrival. Timing is built around the game drive, so the meal follows the wildlife rather than a fixed hour.

Arrangements can be affected by weather, wildlife movement in the area or camp occupancy. Confirm whether it is included in your rate or charged separately.
