The atmosphere is quietly luxurious and grounded, combining elegant design with constant access to the wild. It serves as a secure, comfortable base for travellers seeking deep immersion in one of Africa’s prime wildlife zones. The stay promises a creative blend of comfort and genuine safari adventure.

Location & Setting

The lodge is situated directly on the Talek River, which forms a natural boundary with the Mara. This positioning places the property within minutes of key wildlife hotspots, including areas known for reliable sightings of large cats.

The location offers convenient access by air, with short transfers from local airstrips, or a scenic five to six-hour road journey from Nairobi. Its setting combines the peaceful sound of the river with panoramic views across the open savannah.

Accommodation

Prideinn Mara features 31 spacious cottages and elevated tents designed with natural, local materials. Interiors are spacious and focused on comfortable simplicity, using light finishes and African-themed decor.

Each unit includes a private veranda and a large en suite bathroom, many offering the unique feature of a bathtub with a direct view of the Talek River and the reserve beyond. The setup ensures privacy and an immersive experience, allowing guests to take in the sights and sounds of the bush from their own secluded deck.

Facilities & Experiences

Shared lodge life centers on the main dining deck, which features an open, wood-fired oven and overlooks the river boundary. Guests can enjoy meals and evening drinks while observing the abundant birdlife and occasional wildlife movement along the riverbank.

During warmer hours, the outdoor pool provides a refreshing break beneath the vast African sky. Evenings often conclude around the crackling fire pit, creating a communal space to share stories of the day’s discoveries.
